When I got home from work yesterday I cleaned the apartment.  Chris came over around 8:15 and I fixed dinner for us.  I made ricotta cheese and chicken toasted ravioli and beef regular ravioli with marinara sauce and 3 cheese bread and ceaser salad.  It was all really good, after that Chris and I hang out.  I watched Sex and the City on TBS and he worked on his website, he had brought over his laptop.  Good times.

I swear on Saturday night we were hit with the storm from hell.  I had just left the coffee shop around 9pm that night and I was waiting outside by my car for Chris to come over.  We were going to go to an after hours birthday party back at the coffee shop for one of our computer techs.  It was not a bad evening, as I was standing outside I was watching the lightening in the distance and enjoying the cool air when all of a sudden the high winds picked up and the electrcity went out.  Well needless to say I got my butt back up to my apartment as soon as that happened.  It sucked that I didn't have my keys out so I had to try to get back into my apartment in the dark in the middle of this horrible storm.  It was bad too because Chris was out on the road in the middle of this hurricane.  I finally managed to get back into my appartment and get some candles lit so I could see.  Chris made it over to my house about 10 minutes later and we decided to skip the party and go over to his house since he has a basement.  The 'hurricane' finally passed leaving a barage of downed trees and shingles in its wake.  Kate and I were without power until about 6pm on Sunday.  We passed Sunday, since we had no power, going to Zona Rosa and to the movies and seeing Shrek 2 again (hey it was air conditioned!).  Easily our worst storm so far this year, but we survived so it's all good.  It's supposed to storm agian tonight, eek!  I gotta head out, I have to be at the coffee shop in a few minutes.

Caio,

Ultimate Unofficial Guide to the Mysteries of Harry Potter

Yeah yeah, I know.  I promised in my last blog entry that I wouldn't let too much time pass between posts.  It wasn't my fault, I wasn't home most of the weekend and I promise I'll do better next time!

Friday night I went and saw the 3rd Harry Potter movie.  I was supposed to see it with Brett and Ashleigh but couldn't get ahold of either of them and being the big Harry Potter nerd that I am I couldn't wait and just went and saw the movie by myself.  I went over to Barnes and Noble before the movie and bought two Harry Potter books (yeah yeah i know) .  I caught the 7:30 show and managed to get a pretty good seat in the middle of the theater, not bad for a sold out show.  The movie was pretty good, but I was a little disappointed.  It wasn't anywhere near the calibur of the book.  But still worth seeing none the less.  I'll probably end up seeing it twice, Chris wants to see it sometime too.

On Saturday, Kate and I went garage saleing but that turned out to be a bust.  I think we went a little too late in the afternoon, all the good stuff had already been taken.  Chris met Kate and I at our place around 4pm and from there the 3 of us headed to PHill.  Kate and I torture Chris on the car ride there by singing n'sync and dashboard songs, it was great!  We made it to my parent's fish fry around 5:30, Timmy2cent showed up about 20 minutes later.  There were quite a few people there, we hung out in the back and had a good time chatting.  The food and margaritas were great. ;)

Around 9:00 we went in to avoid the misquitos and decided to watch a movie.  We ended up watching Master and Commander with Russell Crowe and that cute guy that played his imaginary friend in A Beautiful Mind (I forget his name).  It seemed like it was pretty good, but I got up so much that I think I missed some key parts of the movie.  Oh well, I'll have to rewatch it some other time.

I spent Sunday hanging out with Chris, it was a nice day to relax.  Chris worked on the site and I pretty much spent the afternoon either sleeping or reading.  I brought us Quizone's for lunch, it was good stuff.  Kate came over around 6 and her and I went down to Yoshoko for sushi.  It was really good, I got the butterfly rolls and philedelpha rolls that Chris got me hooked on the last time we ate there.  We all hung out and Chris' and watched Old School until Kate had to leave for work, after that Chris and I watched A Beautiful Mind.

Today was another Monday.  I went to Zona Rosa after work today and got a really cool new pair of earrings from Express.  I worked at the coffee shop tonight and afterwards Kate met me there and we ate at El Maguays(sp?).  It was pretty good.

Well, I think that finally catches us back up again.  I relize those post is pretty long and most likely pretty boring to read, I suggest skimming through to the good parts (if there are any) ;)

Until next time, take care!

The Places You Have Come To Fear The Most

My week in a blur...

This past week has been an eventful one!  Last Thursday, Kate and I, went to the Dashboard Confessional/Get Up Kids/Thrice concert.  The show was awesome, and my first concert of the year!  Thrice played first, Kate and I didn't really care for them much.  A little too hard core for our tastes.  Next up were the Get Up Kids.  Thrice let TGUKs play second since this is their home ground.  They played goodies such as Holiday, Mass Pike, and Campfire Kansas(said they don't normally play it on tour but did at this show since they were at home! )  And lastly was Dashboard, I must say that Dashboard was awesome!  They played all the songs I was counting on and ended the show with Hands Down.  The down point of the concert was the crowd, all a bunch of hollister/ambercrombie branding teeny boopers.  My sister was also at the concert, but I wasn't able to find her there, what is one skinny blonde amoungst a sea of skinny blondes?

The following Friday night was pretty uneventful, Kate and I just hung out.  Saturday was fun, I went down to the City Market and met my family there.  From there I brought my sister back to my apartment and then took her up to Zona Rosa to check out Forever 21.  After that we headed to Lawrence, she'd never been there before and I wanted her to check it out.  I love going to Lawrence, it's the cutest little town with a lot of cute little local shops and resturants.  We both had a good time and ate at the thai place there on Mass. St.  I dropped Ashleigh back off at home and met Kate and a friend of hers at the plaza to see a movie.  We saw The Day After Next and pretty much spent the whole time making fun of the movie, I think we both liked it tho.  After that we met up at blockbuster and turned the rest of the evening into a "Sex and the City" night.  Sunday spent the day indoor rock climbing, that was quite the work out.  I'd like to do it again sometime soon.  That night Kate, Tim, Chris, and I went up to Tomfooleries for dinner.  They have one of those spinning doors that I managed to fall in, they didn't notice and kept pushing the door anyway lol.  That wasn't as bad as Kate tho who apparently doesn't know how to operate a door and ended up having to use a different one, we all got a good laugh out of that one lol.  Monday was very uneventful, Chris and I went to lunch at Stone Canyon and the rest of the day I spent hanging out with Kate and potting a plant. Good times.

I believe that gets us up to date.  I'll try to keep my blog more current to keep from these long posts.

Much love,

B
